Duane Propes
Triple Threat Tour 2006, Live in Hot Springs, ARK
Duane Propes is "Bigger than Dallas" and an artist that is Texas!
The bassist for the band Little Texas has been busy lately.  He lives in Nashville, with his wife Pam and their adorable family.

Little Texas
is back! With a fresh perspective, the band is on the road again, selling out shows and creating new music that can only be described as inspired.   “From the very beginning, Little Texas was an attitude. Nothing about that has changed. It's STILL an attitude.

We caught up with Duane and Little Texas in Hot Springs during the Triple Threat Tour  with Restless Heart and Blackhawk.  An awesome concert.  Little Texas introduced some new songs.  Word has it that a new video and single along with an album is in the works this Fall.  Personally, I can't wait for the release.  Thanks to my cousin Duane (our great grandmothers were sisters) and the Band for hosting us and making us feel so special.

Benini
Medusa In 1999, Benini and his wife Lorraine purchased Le Stelle, their 140 acre Ranch in the Texas Hill Country that has been turned into the Benini Foundation and Sculpture Ranch which includes the residence, guesthouse and a 14000 sq. ft. Studios Building with offices, showroom, studios and fine arts library. In the surrounding Texas Landscape, national and international sculptors are placing large-scale contemporary works.  However, Benini's work is still the centerpoint.  Benini creates paintings that appear three dimensional and glow with pigment.  I have several of his works in my collection and truly adore each one.  Baci!
The Lone Star Logan Arnold
Logan Arnold
Looking for a musician to play for your event?  Meet Logan Arnold.
His Dad,  Randy and  David are friends.  Randy sent me a CD.  I was very impressed.  Logan came by to meet me Sunday afternoon before he went to Church.  He is so enthusiastic that it's contagious.  Logan is available for accoustic sets.  He will play for parties, celebrations and  gatherings. I have him scheduled for our 8th Annual Shearing Festival and Open Barn!

Logan's love of music grew when he was 13 years old and broke his leg.  He was extremely bored with being out of commission.  His Dad, Randy, bought him a guitar to pass the time away.  Logan loved that guitar.  It was love at first sight.  He couldn't put it down and still can't.  He taught himself music and absolutely loves to sing. . . .and besides that ladies, he is very polite and handsome.

The Lone Star
Pat Wiles

What a delightful find on EBay!  This unique, very unusual original "Rock Art Ponies " watercolor painting is by nationally known equine artist, illustrator and horsewoman Pat Wiles. It is painted on handmade paper which contains a bit of Pat's Colorado home, Arnica, Mica and Ceremonial Sage which adds sparkle and texture and lends itself to the whimsical, rustic rock art motif.  Pat's paintings have appeared in galleries and museums in Paris, New York, Oklahoma and Texas. She was previously artist for several horse magazines including the Florida Horse, Horse Tales and The Quarter Racing Record. She is the illustrator of the children's books "Lonesome the Little Horse, His Mountain Adventure," "Isabelle Lives a Dream," and "Short Stuff Bucks."  Click on EBAY ROCK ART PONY EXPRESS  to find more of Pat Wiles' work that includes many breeds of horse, dog, cat, llama, alpaca, goat, exotics, pets and wildlife as well as special commissions.  I LOVE the Australian Shepherds!

Texas Collection-The Llamas of Gin Creek Ranch
Given the history of the land and family, it seems natural that David and Malinda would have chosen to raise llamas, whose history dates back thousands of years.  They appreciate the history of the llamas and are always on the lookout for historical information about them.  Malinda and David's herd has grown to 35 since 1999.  All it took was one look into a llama's eyes, and Malinda was hooked.  David's first purchase was a Mother's Day present for Malinda.  The holidays just kept on coming, and so did the llamas!

Jon Shannon Webster
This is my cousin Shannon.  Our mothers are sisters.  He was born in Texas, but somehow migrated over the border to New Mexico.  He is married to Lou Ann, who is one of the greatest people we know.  All of my life, Shannon has been playing his guitar and singing.  He has gotten pretty good at it too.  Check out his lyrics.  His Compact Disc is available here too.
Herman Bernhardt
Bald Eagles
Herman is from Bedford, Texas.  I met Herman and his wife at our Heritage Syrup Festival in Henderson in 1996.  He was an exhibitor in our downtown.  He teaches art lessons around the Dallas area.  Herman uses Pencil to depict scenes around our Great State.  From Wildlife to Ranches, he knows Texas.
Woody Axelrod

Rock 'n' Roll Wizard Woody Axelrod plays guitar, tenor saxophone, keyboard, hubcaps, smoke bombs, and whatever else comes to mind or hand.  Woody Axelrod, a native of Austin, Texas, is a veteran of the road, who spent ten years touring with 50's show bands such as Big Al & the Hi-Fi's, Mercury Cruise, and the Meteorites, throughout the western USA and Canada, before embarking on his solo career.  Growing up in Texas, Woody was greatly influenced by Southern Rock 'n' Blues, which is evident in his unique guitar style. With a big voice, Fender Stratocaster, tenor sax, meticulous sequencing and an outrageous stage set-up, you'll have to look closely to realize that Woody Axelrod is just one guy!
